What browsers work best with CNN's new video experience?

Windows
Chrome 12 or later, Firefox 6 or later, Internet Explorer 8 or later

Mac
Chrome 12 or later, Firefox 6 or later, Safari 5 or later

All browsers
Flash 10.3 or later

What determines my video quality?
CNN uses technology designed to actively adjust the video stream in an effort to provide you with the best video quality your connection speed and computer can support at a given moment. You may notice that video starts at a lower quality and often improves after 5 to 15 seconds, depending upon your connection.

Why do I hear audio but not see any video?
A small percentage of Mac users with a certain combination of Adobe Flash, Mac OS X, and video hardware may have this experience. Software updates from Adobe or Apple may address this issue, so make sure you have the latest version of Flash and the most recent updates to Mac OS X. You can temporarily fix this issue easily by doing the following:

Right click (or control-click) on the video in the CNN video player.
Choose "Settings..." from the pop-up menu.
Uncheck the box labeled "Enable hardware acceleration" and click "Close."
Refresh the page. If that doesn't work, restart your browser.
